Trailer Improvements

It seems every trip we undertake we identify things on the trailer we could improve. We also discover items to purchase to improve our trips, such as the beach chairs we purchased in Pambula.

Recently I bought a wall for the awning near the kitchen, to keep out wind and rain in the case we need it. I bought it from Drouin and Steve did a great job matching the color, zips, and velcro that are on the awning already. He and I put it up to check for fitting and it is stored in the drawbar tool box. I can't wait to see how practical it is when we head to Queensland in the next few weeks.

Last Friday I took the trailer to an Auto Electrician in Moe, P & V Auto electrics, to have a battery fitted to it. An Anderson plug was also fitted to our car to charge the battery when we are travelling. An outlet for our fridge was fitted to the inside of the trailer as well. There is only 1 plug fitted and I will now fit a few more to the inside on the trailer and the inside of the tent for fridges and lighting.
The two major alterations to our trailer since we bought it.

The RACV Camping and Leisure Show was on this weekend and I spent the day there on Monday, Labour Day. It was good to go with some experience of campers, last year was all about looking at campers and some research about brands, budgets and quality as we hadn't purchased the trailer at that stage. I spent the day looking at the exhibitions and learning heaps about camping.

I couldn't possibly leave without more purchases and I left carrying a collapsible laundry basket, LED lights for the inside of the tent and a Dreampot thermal cooker. Tonights curry was delicious.

Also I recently purchased a GoPro camera which will be great for documenting our trips and is waterproof for taking to the beach and pools. An extra way to track our trips as well as the blog.
